Who Are We?Both Feet was co-founded by Stephanie Morgan, Adam Stadius and Laura Lindsay in December 2016 and is now managed by Steph and the teaching is shared with her and Adam.
We met several years ago whilst training with Scott Williams (The Impulse Company) where our shared passion for the Meisner technique united us. Now, using Meisner’s technique as a foundation to all of our teaching, we draw upon our backgrounds as teachers, facilitators, actors, writers and directors to teach our interpretation of this world-renowned technique, combining our individual teaching styles with a plethora of powerful tools to create truthful, authentic, confident actors right here on our doorstep. |

Steph says:
"I discovered (and fell in love with) The Meisner Technique at the same time as training in Neuro Linguistic Programming which fuelled my fascination of people and their behaviour. What draws me to this teaching practice is that its not about delving into your past in order to connect with your character, for me it's about learning to trust the stories that sit within each cell of your body, that are part of your neurological make up. By learning to release the grip on how you think things should be and letting them move how they need you will be able to listen fully to yourself and those you're working with and therefore be an open and present actor everyone wants to work with. The process is powerful, genius and simple, if you're willing to let go. The fabulous teacher Scott Williams will always be held in my heart for introducing me and training me in this work. I hope you join us to explore, every actor should." |

As a specialist in both Musical Theatre and the Meisner Technique, Adam is developing his research into the application of Meisner within song. Get in touch for more information.
Recent coaching and directing work includes: Black Toffee’s Parallel & Theatre Royal Newcastle’s Project A. Adam says: "I found the Meisner Technique at the perfect time for me as both an actor and a teacher. My Drama school training had put me in to my head as an actor and left me feeling confused about what I should be doing, how to approach my work and actually how to be truthful and authentic within the moment. Working with Scott Williams gave me an incredible grounding in the work and ignited a huge passion for this technique, in exploring the work I've managed to work with some great teachers both in the UK and in New York in Stephen Agosto (Neighbourhood Playhouse alumni) and Rick Sordelet (Yale School of Drama/William Esper Studio Alumni) all of whom have shaped the way I work and train actors. I genuinely see more truthful work in a Meisner based class than on most stages and screens and I can't wait to share the work with others." |
