DEEP DIVE
Breath, Body, Voice & Performance
With Barbara Houseman

Learn the techniques I employ with my A-List clients
Have you worked with Barbara before and would like to take your work even deeper?
Are you new to working with Barbara and would like to remove blocks, build confidence and grow skills so that you can take your work to the next level?
Each retreat has a maximum of 10 people and is tailored to the needs and interests of the participants - so there is plenty of opportunity for individual work and feedback in a safe and supportive environment.
It takes place in beautiful North Wales with time to enjoy the outdoors, to rest, breathe and slow down as well as a time to play and grow.
A chance to profoundly transform breath, body, voice and performance.

Barbara's work starts with voice, passes through the physical
and results in a character.
Her teaching helps total performance.

What we'll cover
This retreat will enable you to explore and deeply connect with your inner and outer self physically, vocally and emotionally. It will help shift any blocks that stop you from fully expressing your authentic and creative self with confidence and ease whether speaking your own words or the words of a script and whether you are communicating/performing in person or on screen.
There will be a mixture of deeply organic work and practical, tangible technical work which you can easily carry into your life and work. The first four days will dive deeply into physical, vocal and emotional release from limiting habits and beliefs as well as building your skill set. The last two days will focus on individual work.
This retreat leads to lasting real world change. An actor from the last retreat landing a leading role in a West End Musical soon after and a female TV director was able to work with actors on set with greater confidence and authority.

"What I love so much about Barbara's work is her understanding of the voice not only as a performance tool but as a door to a person's culture, their upbringing and the story of who they are.
Barbara's work has guided me through that door and onwards to performances where I have been able to fuse together our British classical and my Black British cultural present and take it out into the world with pride.
She is the best of the best."
