Safe Space Policy

At Both Feet we know that refining your craft requires vast courage and a safe space is essential for that. This policy outlines the shared responsibilities that allow us to train with the rigour, care and integrity we are known for.

By attending any course, retreat or online session, you agree to the following.

1. Our Commitment to You

We commit to:

  • creating a grounded, respectful learning environment

  • holding the space with care and clarity

  • supporting you to work within your own boundaries

  • offering trauma-aware but non-therapeutic practice

2. Your Responsibility to Yourself

You agree to:

  • look after your physical and emotional wellbeing

  • only participate within your own capacity

  • take breaks when needed

  • ask for support or clarity

  • seek external support (e.g. therapy) if the work brings things up outside our remit

You are the expert on your body and your limits. You get to be responsible for your choices and boundaries throughout the training.

3. Your Responsibility to the Group

You agree to:

  • treat everyone with respect

  • listen fully

  • honour confidentiality

  • turn away from judgement, gossip or comparison

  • hold space for others’ experiences best you can

  • refrain from giving unsolicited advice

We do not tolerate behaviour that harms, intimidates, belittles or disrupts the group’s ability to work safely.

4. Consent & Boundaries

Consent is central to our practice.

You agree to:

  • say no in the moment when something doesn’t feel right

  • respect others’ boundaries immediately and without challenge

  • seek and give verbal consent before any physical contact

  • avoid pressuring or coercing anyone into anything

Any form of harassment, non-consensual contact or violation of boundaries will not be tolerated.

5. Confidentiality

This includes:

  • personal experiences

  • emotional responses

  • exercises, partner work (including enquiries) and discussions

Sharing another participant’s experience outside the space is a breach of trust and may result in removal without refund.

6. Communication & Concerns

If something feels unsafe or unclear, you can:

  • speak privately to the practitioner

  • request a one-to-one conversation

  • email us after the session

We will treat all concerns seriously and respond with care and professionalism.

7. Participation & Removal

Both Feet reserves the right to:

  • ask you to step out of an exercise

  • pause your participation

  • or remove you from the training entirely if your behaviour compromises safety, boundaries or the integrity of the space.

This may be done without refund in order to protect the group and the work.

8. Agreement

By attending any Both Feet training (in-person or online), you confirm that you:

  • have read and understood this policy

  • agree to uphold it

  • accept responsibility for your own wellbeing and boundaries

If you have any questions, please ask before the course begins.
